Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the National Security Sector. This role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional visits to the Fairfax, VA office.

Responsibilities include timely financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasts, and collaboration with Accounting, Contracts, and Procurement. A Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years in finance plus knowledge of FAR/CAS/GAAP is required; DoW clearance and US citizenship may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years in a finance-related role.
• Foundational understanding of government contracting concepts (FAR/CAS/GAAP).
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and formulas; great written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables and analyze program trends.
• Assist with quarterly forecasts and annual operating budgets for large programs.
• Analyze program drivers, risks, and opportunities; support month-end close and cost accruals.
