Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our National Security Sector. This position is fully remote within the United States, with the Fairfax, VA office. Periodic visits to the office may be required.

Responsibilities include financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasting for large programs, and collaboration with Accounting, Contracts and Procurement. A bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years in finance is required, with DoD clearance potential and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years in Finance (Program Finance, Project Control or FP&A).
• Foundational government contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP).
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type) is helpful.
• U.S. DoD DoW clearance may be required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting and variance analysis for management.
• Support forecasting and annual budgets for large programs.
• Analyze program drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare data for program reviews.
• Support month-end close including cost accruals and revenue recognition.
• Monitor subcontracting spending and approvals.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and back-office teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
