Job summary

Veralto is seeking an AI Software Engineering Lead to accelerate AI adoption across software and firmware teams. You’ll work hands-on, embed with engineering squads, mentor developers, and scale AI-enabled practices across multiple Water Quality operating companies.

Qualifications

• Principal-level depth in software/firmware/AI engineering or related leadership.
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools, LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows or coding agents.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and constraints and identify AI value.
• Credibility with developers to coach, prototype, troubleshoot and lead by example.
• Strong communication and change leadership to influence teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Embed with software and firmware teams to identify practical AI use cases.
• Coach developers on AI-assisted coding, testing, and refactoring.
• Create playbooks, prompt libraries, and engineering standards for AI adoption.
• Support AI Kaizens, hackathons, and technical workshops to implement ideas.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and workflows to improve productivity.
• Build proofs of concept showing AI-driven improvements in delivery.
• Measure adoption, productivity, quality and other engineering metrics.
• Lead across Water Quality teams to accelerate faster, smarter work.
