Job summary

Verisk is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead AI‑driven, data‑intensive platforms within a regulated environment. You will empower engineers and tech leads to deliver scalable, resilient systems with AI integrated across the SDLC.

You will steer delivery across product, engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams, mentor senior engineers, and shape guardrails, risk management, and operating norms while balancing long‑term platform health with short‑term delivery.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in software engineering or systems development.
• 5+ years leading complex delivery through engineering leadership.
• Proven track record leveraging AI tools as a core part of SDLC with productivity gains.
• Hands‑on experience with large, high‑transaction data systems, including Oracle.
• Experience operating in regulated or audit‑bound environments (SOC 2‑like rigor).

Responsibilities

• Learns engineering teams that have adopted AI tooling as a first‑class part of the SDLC.
• Stabilizes and scales complex, compliance‑sensitive platforms.
• Enables tech lead autonomy while maintaining accountability.
• Translates ambiguous intent into guardrails, priorities, and operating norms.
• Drives delivery across product, engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams.
