Job summary

The Uncommon Business is hiring a full-time, remote Director of Student Engagement to own the post-purchase member experience for UCL, a growing $4–5M‑a‑month membership business. You’ll drive engagement, progression, and renewal with an AI-forward approach, building a scalable community without a fixed playbook.

You’ll lead member segmentation, certification milestones, and content delivery in collaboration with the curriculum team, while supporting local pop-up events and global engagement

Qualifications

• Experience as a program manager or community manager at scale.
• Proven ability to engage and retain members in a subscription model.
• Strong understanding of AI-forward member experiences.
• Comfort with un scripted playbooks and data-driven decisions.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with curriculum and events teams.

Responsibilities

• Own segmentation and communication strategies to keep members engaged as the community grows.
• Oversee AI Architect certification milestones ensuring progress toward a visible next step.
• Build a thriving community that fosters retention and peer connections.
• Coordinate content and curriculum delivery with the curriculum team.
• Support local pop-up events and align with events for real-world engagement.
