Job summary

Benchling is seeking a Solution Consultant to lead pre-sales engagements with our largest customers. You will translate scientific objectives into detailed, scalable solutions and demonstrate them to prospects and customers in enterprise SaaS biotech environments.

The role requires mastery of Life Sciences, antibody discovery, data modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, and services. Remote-friendly, with travel 25–30% to customer sites.

Qualifications

Master’s in Biology or related field with at least 4 years customer-facing experience.
Experience with scientific software such as LIMS/ELN; familiarity with antibody engineering software.
Hands-on experience in antibody discovery and engineering.
Ability to model scientific data and craft solutions using product knowledge.
Understanding of biopharma R&D tech and agile customer engagement processes.
Fluent in English; German or French a plus.
Travel to customer sites 25–30%.

Responsibilities

Partner with account executives and leadership to create account and deal strategies.
Manage organized discoveries to uncover customer needs and criteria.
Craft solutions based on Benchling capabilities and industry best practices.
Present and demonstrate solutions; handle questions and objections.
Engage with product management to influence roadmap and communicate it to customers.
Create reusable content and trainings; mentor other SCs.
