Job summary

DataAnnotation seeks an experienced Digital Web Designer - AI Trainer to evaluate frontier AI models producing real‑world visual design work. This contract role translates professional design judgment into realistic briefs and assesses AI‑generated interfaces against industry standards.

You will critique model outputs for typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and motion, flag failures with concrete evidence, and contribute across related design work within a dynamic AI tooling environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in UI/UX or related design fields.
• Ability to explain design failures clearly.
• Fluent English (native or bilingual).
• Comfort learning new AI design tools.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create challenging, realistic design briefs based on your expertise.
• Run briefs through frontier AI design tools and evaluate results against industry standards.
• Compare two model versions using identical prompts and assets; document outcomes.
• Critique model-generated interfaces, mockups, layouts, slides, infographics, illustrations, and motion.
• Identify and flag concrete failures with evidence (alignment, spacing, typography, overflow, etc.).
• Contribute across related software and interactive work (office/presentation design, technical illustration, graphic design, new media).
