Job summary

DataAnnotation seeks an experienced Front-End Web Designer - AI Trainer to assess frontier AI models on visual design tasks. You will create realistic briefs, test them in AI design tools, and critique outputs to professional standards.

Responsibilities include designing briefs, testing with frontier tools, comparing model versions, and flagging observed failures with concrete evidence to inform improvements. This is a contract role based in Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications

• English proficiency: fluency (native or bilingual).
• Design background in UI/UX/web/product/graphic design.
• Strong visual hierarchy, layout, typography, interaction design, and user flow.
• Ability to articulate why a design fails.
• Familiarity with AI design tools or quick learner.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, realistic design briefs using professional expertise.
• Run briefs through frontier AI design tools and evaluate outputs against standards.
• Compare two model versions using identical prompts and assets to judge performance.
• Critique model-generated interfaces, mockups, layouts, infographics, and motion.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence including alignment and spacing issues, content overflow and cutoff, typography problems.
• Contribute across design and interactive areas including software and interactive work, office and presentation design, technical illustration.
