Job summary

Gusto, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Applications AI Architect to lead AI-driven integration across the enterprise apps ecosystem. You will design MCPs and agents to modernize ERP, automate core workflows, and ensure secure, compliant operations.

You will collaborate with Finance, IT, Security, and Ops to deliver measurable impact and scalable AI-powered solutions. Remote role with cross-location collaboration; strong emphasis on governance, documentation, and ROI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Business Systems Analysis, Enterprise Applications, or Automation.
• Experience integrating Jira, NetSuite, or similar systems.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, JSON, and RESTful service design.
• Hands-on with AI agent frameworks and MCPs.
• Familiarity with leading LLM platforms and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for automation and orchestration.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Focus on secure, compliant, and explainable AI with SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into AI workflows with Finance and Operations teams.
• Design and maintain Model Context Protocols (MCPs) connecting ERP like NetSuite to AI agents.
• Create intelligent agents to automate onboarding, billing, and compliance tasks.
• Govern MCPs and agents with data governance, privacy, and security standards.
• Define KPIs and measure automation impact to guide iteration.
• Partner with IT and Security to promote reusable AI frameworks across the org.
