Job summary

Gusto is seeking an Enterprise Applications AI Engineer to lead AI-driven integration across Gusto’s enterprise systems, partnering with Product, Engineering, Finance, People Tech, and Operations. You will design Model Context Protocols (MCPs) and AI agents to make workflows smarter, faster, and more autonomous while ensuring security and SOX compliance.

You will work with NetSuite, Zuora, Jira, and other enterprise tools to transform ERP and Finance platforms into predictive, context-aware

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Business Systems Analysis, Enterprise Applications, or Automation roles.
• Experience building and maintaining integrations across Jira, NetSuite, or similar.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI agent frameworks and MCPs; prompt engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into AI workflows with Finance and Business Ops.
• Develop and maintain MCPs that connect ERP systems to AI agents.
• Create and manage intelligent agents for onboarding, billing, and compliance monitoring.
• Govern MCPs and agents with data governance, privacy, and SOX controls.
• Measure KPIs like automation adoption, efficiency, agent accuracy, and cost performance.
• Partner with IT, Security, and stakeholders to build reusable AI frameworks and promote AI-first practices.
