Job summary

Genesis Distribution is seeking an Agronomic Technical Consultant/Sales Representative in Clarksburg, WV. The role combines agronomic expertise with B2B sales, traveling within the territory to support growers and ag retailers, and delivering on-farm technical solutions and demonstrations.

You will develop strategic sales plans, educate customers on our product portfolio, and collaborate with management to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field; 2+ years in agriculture.
• B2B sales or consulting experience in agriculture preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily within the assigned territory to meet prospects and existing customers, generating leads and managing relationships.
• Function as on-farm consultant educating and providing agronomically sound solutions.
• Initiate field demonstrations and coordinate seasonal crop tours with growers.
• Represent the brand at events and assist in campaigns to distributors and key accounts.
• Develop and implement action plans to identify sales targets and contact goals.
• Accurately record visit and call details, including pre-orders, in the CRM daily.
