Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a Part Time Remote Customer Service Specialist for its After Hour services. The role works from home with in-person orientation. Schedule is about 8 hours per week, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday evenings, and requires living within one hour of St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities include handling high volume inbound calls, verifying insurance, scheduling, and providing HIPAA-compliant information while coordinating with clinicians and staff in after-hours settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of experience in a related role.
• No supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Answers a high volume of inbound calls to assist patients with appointments, prescriptions, referrals, and general inquiries.
• Uses electronic health record to verify/collect demographics and insurance information; protects privacy per HIPAA.
• Identifies caller needs, researches issues, and escalates to clinical staff when needed to ensure appropriate care.
