Job summary

Curana Health, Inc. seeks a Nurse Practitioner for its National After-Hours Call Team. This remote role delivers telephonic care and clinical direction during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring timely, high-quality support for residents across multiple states.

The position offers autonomy and purpose—managing high call volumes, performing telehealth visits (≥30%), and providing care across several states with a focus on geriatrics and acute changes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current unrestricted NP license in the state you reside and ability to obtain in other required locations within 60 days
• NP national certification as ANP, FNP, or GNP
• Ability to obtain DEA licensure / Prescriptive Authority
• Background in acute and chronic disease management
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatrics
• 3+ years of NP experience
• Ability to gain a collaborative practice agreement, if applicable in your state(s)
• Ability to work scheduled shifts per scheduling policies
• Proficient in documenting medical information in EMR

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of support after-hours, providing direction and medical care over the phone.
• Coordinate care between facilities, hospitals, and clinics via Curana’s telephonic platform.
• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective care addressing acute, chronic, and behavioral health needs with physicians and specialists.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document encounters in EMR per CMS requirements.
• Apply Curana’s clinical protocols to support safe, effective treatment.
• Participate in mandatory education and training to stay current with standards of care.
