Job summary

Curana Health is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for our National After-Hours Call Team. This remote role delivers telephonic care to aging residents across multiple states, primarily evenings and nights with weekend coverage, providing clinical direction and urgent assessments.

You will work independently yet within Curana's care protocols, document encounters in the EMR, and coordinate with facilities and physicians to ensure timely, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current unrestricted NP license in IA, MO or OH; IA license required for consideration.
• NP national certification (ANP, FNP or GNP).
• DEA licensure / Prescriptive Authority required.
• 3+ years NP experience in clinical care.
• Experience documenting medical encounters in EMR.
• Willingness for after-hours, weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first line of after-hours support by phone.
• Coordinate care between facilities using Curana's telephonic platform.
• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective care for acute, chronic, and behavioral needs.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR per CMS requirements.
• Apply clinical protocols to support safe treatment in place when possible.
• Participate in mandatory education and training to stay current.
