Job summary

Bryten is seeking a Remote Compliance Specialist with strong affordable housing compliance expertise. You will interact with TDHCA, NYS HCR and other agencies, prepare for audits, and guide on regulatory requirements across LIHTC and HOME programs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in compliance, regulatory interpretation skills, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are highly desired. Remote role with benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in affordable housing compliance or equivalent file review.
Direct TDHCA and NYS HCR compliance experience.
Low Income Housing Tax Credit experience required.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
MS Office Suite with Teams, Word, Excel; Yardi/RealPage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Review and approve move-in, certification, recertification and interim certification files for LIHTC, HOME, Section 8, Rural Development and layered programs.
Serve as primary contact with TDHCA, NYS HCR, FHFC and other agencies; prepare for audits and inspections.
Submit and maintain agency reporting including TDHCA CMTS, NYS HCR and FHFC reporting.
Prepare properties for audits, MORs and NSPIRE inspections; track findings to resolution.
