Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks an Aerodynamics Expert (Contractor) to support an AI training project with CFD, aerodynamic analysis, and Python automation. This role is global, remote, approx 15 hours weekly.

You will develop models, run CFD workflows, analyze lift and drag, validate results, and review AI-generated engineering outputs for technical accuracy. Prior aerospace CFD experience and Python scripting are required.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or BS with 1–2 years of aerodynamics experience.
• Strong aerodynamics and CFD knowledge with practical Python experience.
• Experience with CLI/programmatic tools such as OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy, or equivalents.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical reasoning and engineering trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
• Develop computational models, geometries, meshes, and solver configurations.
• Run and automate CFD workflows using Python and CLI-based tools.
• Analyze lift, drag, pressure, velocity, and other simulation results.
• Diagnose mesh, convergence, stability, turbulence, and boundary-condition issues.
• Perform validation, sanity checks, and mesh-independence studies.
