This role emphasizes DFMA, Lean, Six Sigma, and theory of constraints to improve productivity, quality, cost, and safety. The position is remote with travel to Excellerate facilities up to 25% and requires a Bachelor’s in engineering plus 3–5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 3–5+ years of Industrial or Operations Engineering experience.
• Remote role with travel to Excellerate facilities up to 25%.
• Work schedule Monday–Friday, 7 am–5 pm, with flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize end-to-end manufacturing and operational processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Lead advanced time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, throughput optimization, and simulation-based flow analysis.
• Develop standard work, labor models, and ergonomic solutions for complex manufacturing environments.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to identify and eliminate waste across operations.
• Create cost models, make-vs-buy analyses, and ROI justifications for capital and process investments.
• Influence product design through DFMA, tolerance analysis, and error-proofing.
• Lead NPI industrialization efforts, including production layouts, material flow, and ramp-up strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events, KPI development, and cross-functional leadership.
• Champion safety and ergonomic compliance (OSHA and applicable ISO standards) in all process and layout designs.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
