Job summary

DeVry University is seeking motivated Admissions Advisors to be the first contact for prospective students and advance recruitment goals. You will build relationships through calls and video conferencing, guiding applicants through the admissions process and connecting them with financial aid and academic advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
• Passion for education and helping prospective students achieve goals.
• Enjoy talking with prospective students by phone and building relationships.
• Ability to craft well-written, compelling messages to students and colleagues.
• Able to work with a team and independently with self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Engage prospective students through inbound and outbound calls and video conferencing to build initial relationships and assess interest.
• Meet daily performance expectations, including call volume, talk time, and applicant progression, while maintaining a high-quality, student-focused outreach experience.
• Interview prospective students to determine their motivation for attending college; understand their career goals and the obstacles that might prevent them from starting or continuing their education; help them to overcome those obstacles; and ultimately help them identify the degree-program that best matches their needs.
• During the interview, present information about the benefits of education and DeVry University, tailoring their message to the students’ needs, motivation, and career goals.
• Guides students through the admissions process, responding to questions, linking them to financial aid and academic advisors, gathering the documents necessary to start school, and ensuring students complete admissions testing.
• Identify and contact other prospective students through networking and building relationships with current students.
