Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking an Associate Actuary to support Network Performance and Value-Based Care (VBC) initiatives. You will develop actuarial analyses, financial models, and insights for provider arrangements and total cost of care (TCoC), partnering with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable recommendations.

You will report to the Associate Director, Medical Economics. Work can be remote from approved states, with periodic in-office days depending on location, and pay

Qualifications

• College degree in a STEM field.
• Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or on the track to become one.
• 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial models used to evaluate VBC arrangements.
• Forecast deal performance and assess financial impact of alternative reimbursement models.
• Monitor provider and arrangement performance through recurring reporting and variance analysis.
• Partner with various teams to support contract evaluation and ongoing performance management.
• Translate complex claims, utilization, and financial data into concise insights for leadership.
• Improve model documentation, QA controls, reproducibility, and automation of analyses.
