Prediction Lab is a remote-first B2B SaaS startup building a predictive modeling platform for teams and agents. We seek an Actuarial Engineer to design and implement new concepts from the rating engine to filing support, working closely with the founder and users.

You will own the insurance-specific parts of the product, ensuring accuracy of outputs for actuaries and regulators while shaping the product's future. Join a lean team with high ownership and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in an actuarial role with pricing work.
• Strong programming skills in analysis, research code, or production systems.
• Track record building models or tooling used by actuaries.
• Knowledge of rate filing processes from analysis to regulator.
• Attention to accurate numbers and stakeholders who defend them.
• Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment.
• High autonomy and ownership.
• Experience in remote, asynchronous work environments.
• Domain knowledge in predictive modeling and data science.

Responsibilities

• Build the insurance-specific parts of the product, from the rating engine to filing support, from design to production.
• Guide the product by connecting actuarial work to pricing practices.
• Ensure the outputs presented to actuaries are correct and regulator-ready.
• Shape the product's future and lead new developments in predictive modeling.
• Elevate the team with your ideas and expertise.
• Partner with the founder to build a product users love.
