Job summary

WAHVE is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support insurance carrier clients from a remote home office. The role leverages extensive actuarial experience to assist pricing studies, rate reviews, and product analyses while enabling flexible full- or part-time schedules.

As a WAHVE Vintage Expert, you’ll collaborate with Underwriting, Product Management, Sales, and Finance to maintain market knowledge, develop rating methodologies, and perform data-driven decisions using SAS/SQL/VBA/R/Python when

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience
• 10 most current years of actuarial experience with commercial lines pricing in the Property & Casualty sector
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major

Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing studies to evaluate profitability of insurance products.
• Lead state and product rate reviews and filings by interpreting bureau rate changes.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Product Management, Sales, Finance to support revisions and expansion of product offerings.
• Assist in the assessment of experience, source of earnings analysis, reserve adequacy, and forward-looking drivers to develop reserve assumptions and recommendations.
• Aid in the development of rating methodologies for existing and new products.
• Extract and manipulate data in relational databases using SAS, SQL, VBA, R or Python.
