Job summary

WAHVE seeks experienced actuaries to work from home as Actuarial Analysts for insurance carrier clients. You will assist pricing studies, perform trend analyses, and lead rate reviews while collaborating with underwriting, product management, and finance teams.

You should bring extensive P&C pricing experience, familiarity with reinsurance pricing, and data manipulation skills in SAS, SQL, R or Python. ACAS/FCAS is preferred but not required; full or part-time schedules available.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience.
• 10 most current years of actuarial experience with commercial lines pricing in the Property & Casualty sector.
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing studies to evaluate profitability and perform trend analyses.
• Lead state and product rate reviews and filings by interpreting bureau rate changes.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product management, sales, and finance to revise offerings.
• Assess experience, source of earnings analysis, reserve adequacy and forward-looking drivers.
• Develop rating methodologies for existing and new products.
• Extract and manipulate data in relational databases using SAS, VBA, SQL, R or Python.
• Apply statistical techniques to build predictive models for underwriting or claims.
• Reinsurance pricing experience with ACAS/FCAS preferred.
