Job summary

WAHVE is seeking talented Actuarial Analysts to leverage extensive insurance experience from home. The role focuses on pricing studies, rate reviews, and data-driven analysis across commercial lines and reinsurance, with emphasis on predictive modeling and advanced analytics.

Ideal candidates have 25 years of full-time actuarial work, 10 years in commercial lines pricing, and a Bachelor's in actuarial science or related fields. Flexible full- or part-time schedules available.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience in insurance
• 10 most current years of actuarial experience with commercial lines pricing in P&C
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major

Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing studies to evaluate profitability of insurance products and perform competitor analysis
• Lead state and product rate reviews and filings by interpreting bureau rate changes
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Product Management, Sales, Finance to support revisions and expansion of product offerings
• Assess experience, source of earnings, reserve adequacy, and forward-looking drivers to develop reserve assumptions and recommendations
• Develop rating methodologies for existing and new company products
• Extract and manipulate data in relational databases using SAS, VBA, SQL, R or Python
• Apply statistical techniques to build predictive models addressing underwriting or claim issues
