Job summary

WAHVE LLC seeks seasoned actuaries to work from home in long-term assignments for insurance carrier clients. Roles include pricing, forecasting, and data analysis using SAS, SQL, R or Python, with ACAS/FCAS preferred but not required.

Ideal candidates bring extensive actuarial experience and a strong academic background in actuarial science or related fields, plus the ability to extract and manipulate data from relational databases while delivering high-quality results remotely.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience.
• 10 most current years of actuarial insurance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major.

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing studies to evaluate profitability of insurance products and compare pricing to market.
• Analyze rating variables and recommend pricing changes.
• Participate in rate reviews, modeling projects, budgets, and price monitoring.
• Assist in assessing experience, earnings analysis, reserve adequacy, and forward-looking drivers.
• Support development of rating methodologies for existing and new products.
