The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, collaboration with underwriting and product teams, and the use of advanced statistical methods to address underwriting and claims issues.

Qualifications

• Significant actuarial experience in pricing and underwriting required.
• Experience with pricing studies to evaluate profitability of products.
• Experience with trend and experience analysis for reserve adequacy and forward-looking drivers.
• ACAS or FCAS designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing studies to evaluate profitability of insurance products.
• Perform competitor analysis to monitor pricing and product developments.
• Perform trend analysis to understand changes in frequency and severity of claims.
• Lead state and product rate reviews and filings by interpreting bureau rate changes.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Product Management, Sales, Finance to support revisions and expansion of offerings.
• Assist in reserve development and rating methodologies for existing and new products.
• Extract and manipulate data in relational databases and statistical tools.
