Job summary

ABC Legal Service seeks a remote Accounts Payable Specialist to support the accounting team. The role handles vendor records, responds to payment inquiries, and ensures timely bill payment. It requires an associate degree, 3–6 months AP experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

The position is part-time (EST) and remote, with states Florida, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia as eligible locations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Business-related or Accounting-related field preferred.
• 3–6 months in an Accounts Payable role preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required; familiarity with Microsoft Office and PDF editors a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the accounts payable workflow using NetSuite and other programs.
• Maintain vendor records for independent contractors, including W-9s.
• Interface with the vendor support team to maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Tracing transactions with our bank and performing accounting duties such as recording journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
