Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Supply Chain operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This largely remote, full-time role will handle invoices, vendor reconciliations, payment inquiries, and compliance while partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely payments.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer service abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or vocational/technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Audit, process, and reconcile invoices (EDI, capital/WIP, non-PO) per Fairview policy.
• Manage vendor accounts, including reconciliation and issue resolution.
• Evaluate and improve invoice handling processes; support policy enhancements.
• Analyze vendor statements to ensure accuracy of account balances.
• Communicate with employees and vendors to obtain documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide training and support to vendors and internal stakeholders on submission and payment procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of AP policies; ensure compliance and suggest efficiencies.
• Participate in cross-training and assist during high-volume periods.
• Prepare and process invoice uploads; handle daily/weekly batch processing.
• Process utility, immediate, and one-time payments per procedures.
• Support AP leadership with daily metrics and reconciliation activities.
• Provide input into process improvements through AP, Purchasing, Finance, and Treasury teams.
