Job summary

Jade Biosciences is seeking an Accounts Payable & Finance Operations Specialist to design and oversee PO systems, AP operations, and bank reconciliations. The role partners with budget owners and the Finance team to ensure accurate processing and timely close.

The position reports to the Assistant Controller and is remote with periodic travel within the United States. Candidates should bring 3+ years in AP/procurement, ERP/PO experience, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or procurement operations is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with purchase orders, invoice processing, payments, vendor management, and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of accounting basics, coding, accruals, cut-off, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP and procure-to-pay platforms; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design, oversee and manage the purchase order lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Confirm PO coverage, coding, approvals with budget owners before commitments.
• Oversee open POs and resolve aged or utilized commitments.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities including invoice intake, matching, approvals, and payment batches.
• Maintain vendor records and coordinate vendor setup and changes.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Process cash transactions including electronic payments and wires.
• Prepare bank and cash reconciliations and assist with month-end close.
• Reconcile AP subledger to GL and correct anomalies.
• Assist with cash forecasting and near-term liquidity planning.
• Maintain electronic records and support audits; ensure procurement and cash controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data quality.
• Provide cross-functional support and ad hoc projects, including payroll where applicable.
