Job summary

Lightspeed is seeking a Training Specialist – Accounting to remotely train dealership clients on accounting workflows within the Lightspeed DMS. You will help customers close their books accurately and adopt best practices for financial statements, across a structured 6-week go-live and follow-up training cycle.

In this fully remote role, you will travel occasionally for an annual team meeting and work with dealer accounting staff to ensure a smooth transition, data reconciliation, and ongoing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or controller-support roles (dealership environment preferred).
• Hands-on experience with dealership DMS and accounting modules.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain accounting clearly.
• Fully remote role with ability to travel for annual team meeting.
• Comfortable working independently in a multi-time-zone team.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-call with dealer accounting staff to set expectations during go-live.
• Deliver structured 1:1 accounting training across a 6-week cycle (~12 hours per dealer).
• Guide go-live week essentials: balances, chart of accounts, tax settings, data recreation.
• Cover accounts payable/receivable workflows including vendor setup, funding, and memos.
• Support audits, month-end close, and reconciliations through weekly sessions.
