Job summary

Lightspeed is seeking a Training Specialist – Accounting to remotely train dealership clients on accounting workflows within the Lightspeed DMS platform. You’ll guide go-live cycles, ensure accurate financial reporting, and promote best-practice processes across AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and month-end close.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting within a dealership setting and familiarity with Lightspeed Evolution. Fully remote with occasional travel for an annual team meeting is available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or controller-support experience, ideally in a dealership.
• Hands-on experience with Lightspeed Evolution DMS, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and month-end close.
• Knowledge of flooring, vendor packing slips, and dealer/customer funding.
• Strong communication, organization, and ability to work remotely in a multi-time-zone team.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead remote training sessions for dealership accounting staff during go-live and follow-up cycles.
• Deliver structured 1:1 accounting training across a 6-week cycle (~12 hours per dealer).
• Guide dealers through go-live essentials: balances, COA mapping, preferences, tax settings.
• Cover AP/AR topics, funding, and vendor management.
• Support audits, tax reporting, bank reconciliations, and month-end close in weekly sessions.
• Be the go-to resource for real-time accounting questions and dealer-specific issues.
