Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare in Escondido, CA is looking for an Accounting Specialist I to handle general accounting and cash handling functions within a remote Accounting Department. This full-time, temporary position is expected to last about 3 months.

You will be responsible for completing cash audits, preparing daily deposits, reconciling transactions, and assisting in accounts payable tasks. Candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills, with prior accounting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years’ general accounting or cash handling experience required.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner.

Responsibilities

• Completes on-site cash audits and PSR audits.
• Prepares daily deposits and reconciles transactions.
• Processes credit card transactions and maintains cash banks.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent knowledge of computer applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Organizational ability

Education

High school diploma

Associate's degree preferred
