Job summary

H2O.ai is hiring an Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. You will support accounts payable, travel and expense, cash management, and month-end close in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with ERP systems and procurement tools to maintain financial integrity. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of accounting experience, US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in software/tech.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP S/4Hana Cloud, Campfire, Rillet) and procure-to-pay systems (Bill.com, Ramp).
• US GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF).
• Cross-functional collaboration and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable, including invoice entry and timely payments in Bill.com.
• Handle travel & expense processes in Navan and perform reconciliations.
• Manage cash activity, bank statements, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor records and assist 1099 reporting.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, FP&A, People Ops to classify expenses and process invoices.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements.
