Job summary

ShopMy in New York City is seeking a hands-on Manager, Accounting Operations to own accounts payable, expense programs and travel operations as the company scales.

You will help build procurement, partner with legal, people and IT to streamline processes, and leverage AI tools to automate and improve finance workflows while supporting month-end close and audits. The role offers remote options for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in finance operations, accounting background preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AP, expense management, and travel programs.
• Exposure to procurement and vendor management tools and processes.
• Comfortable building processes and finding creative solutions to problems.
• Genuine fluency with AI tools.
• Based in NYC or the Bay Area preferred; open to remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable, expense management, and travel operations day to day.
• Help build ShopMy's procurement function, including vendor management and spend controls.
• Partner cross-functionally with legal, people, and IT teams to streamline processes as we grow.
• Use AI tools to automate and improve how the team works.
• Support billing operations as part of the broader finance function.
• Collaborate with the Finance team on month end close, audits, and reporting.
