Render, a modern cloud platform, seeks an Accounting Operations Manager to lead procure-to-pay, payroll, expenses, and core accounting workflows as we scale. You’ll design scalable processes, automate controls, and enable rapid growth with strong financial discipline.

Reporting to the Controller, you will partner with Finance, IT & Security, Procurement and People Operations to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and support audits and the monthly close. This role offers significant impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Experience implementing accounting systems and tooling.
• Experience owning AP, payroll accounting, or other ops.
• Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• Audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Strong systems aptitude and tech-enabled processes.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting operations function across procure-to-pay, payroll, expense management, vendor management, and related areas.
• Own accounts payable and payment operations, including onboarding, invoicing, and payment execution.
• Own payroll accounting including reconciliations of liabilities and deductions.
• Ensure quarterly and annual payroll tax filings are accurate and timely.
• Own systems and workflows, driving automation and internal controls.
• Partner with Finance, People, IT & Security, and Procurement to improve processes.
• Act as a key partner during audits and compliance activities.
• Support monthly close, reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and special projects.
