Job summary

Nourish seeks a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in NYC, owning the monthly close and Ramp platform operations. This growth-stage role combines technical accounting with operational ownership, delivering audit-ready workpapers and robust financial control.

You will report to the Accounting Lead, drive journal entries and reconciliations, manage AP/expense workflows, and partner cross-functionally to ensure precise financial data. A strong AI/automation mindset is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with public accounting exposure.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close, and audit processes.
• Experience with spend management platforms and modern accounting tools.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned areas of monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations with clear documentation.
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable, expense reporting, and corporate card processes within Ramp.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and schedules, supporting the first external audit.
• Identify inefficiencies in workflows and drive AI/automation improvements.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, HR, and other teams to ensure accurate data.
• Support GAAP conversion, new entity consolidation, and automation initiatives.
