Job summary

Family Office is seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Contractor to strengthen internal processes for a multi‑entity operation. This remote role offers travel as needed on a 9–12 month contract, with a focus on documenting the current accounting workflow and ensuring timely close and reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will bring 12+ years of accounting, CPA preferred, and a proven playbook for checklists, calendars, and outsourced accounting setups.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in accounting, CPA preferred.
• Experience running close and AP at scale in FHO or UHNW settings; outsourcing exposure.
• Proven playbook: checklists and calendars as priorities.
• Familiarity with multi‑entity / intercompany and consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Build daily, weekly and monthly checklists for our accounting firm and internal teams.
• Tighten AP cadence with QC and review built in.
• Reduce month‑end close to T+14 by month 6 and document what moves it.
• Own internal processes: credit cards, travel logs, reimbursements, payroll, allocations.
• Produce monthly exception reports: reconciled vs unreconciled, SLA status.
• Document how accounting operations work, including roles, processes, and what external firms do.
