Job summary

Enterprise Peak is seeking an experienced accounting professional to own the accounting function for our staffing and professional services practice. You will manage GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close in a fast-paced environment, ensuring billing aligns with customer POs and FAR/compliant practices.

This 100% remote role requires 8–10 years in project-based accounting, with strong experience in government contracts, revenue recognition, cash flow, and PO management.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3–5 years supporting staffing, consulting, or professional services.
• Strong project-based accounting knowledge: billing, payroll, PO management, revenue recognition.
• Experience with government contractors or regulated environments preferred.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close.
• Process multi-state payroll and reconciliations.
• Manage bank and treasury relationships.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Develop and improve accounting policies and controls.
• Monitor internal controls and risk.
• Own PO and collection processes with customers.
• Invoice creation, accuracy, timely billing, and PO alignment.
• Support government/defense billing and audit readiness.
• Onboard new employees into payroll/HR systems.
