Job summary

Private Family Office seeks an experienced accountant-builder to design and own the automated back office. You’ll take the books in-house across 12+ entities, implement AI-driven automation, and build the ledger in QuickBooks Online with a focus on audit-ready outputs.

You’ll work directly with the CFO and principal, own the month-end close, tax calendar, and investment reporting, and craft scalable processes that run with minimal manual intervention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years in accounting or financial operations with month-end close ownership.
• Hands-on general ledger work in QuickBooks Online or a comparable system; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Evidence that you build: a script, an automation, an AI workflow, or a seriously engineered spreadsheet.
• Fluency using AI to get work done: prompting to build working scripts/workflows.
• Discretion, attention to detail, and deadline discipline; the close calendar and tax calendar run this seat.

Responsibilities

• Own the books and close: rebuild around automation; run month-end close with reconciliations.
• Own the general ledger and chart of accounts across 12+ entities in QuickBooks Online.
• Coordinate wires, transfers, and account maintenance with private banking teams.
• Document workflows so the function is repeatable and auditable, ensuring it runs when you’re away.
• Prepare personal financial statements and net worth reporting with the CFO.
