Job summary

Blue Moon Metals is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its US operations, overseeing accounting, reporting, and internal controls across US sites. The role partners with site leadership to drive financial performance and regulatory compliance in a dynamic mining environment.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, IFRS expertise (US GAAP asset), SAP experience, and a track record of managing a team in capital-intensive industries.

Qualifications

Active CPA in good standing and eligible to work in the United States.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS (US GAAP is an asset) and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with enterprise ERP systems, preferably SAP and advanced MS Excel skills.
Experience in mining, mineral processing, manufacturing, construction, or other capital-intensive industries preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage the full cycle of accounting operations for US entities (AP, AR, GL, payroll).
Prepare and review monthly/quarterly site reporting for group consolidation per IFRS.
Serve as primary finance business partner to site leadership with financial analysis and decision support.
Lead finance support for US assets acquisitions and initial Springer Mine/Processing Facility focus.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of records.
Coordinate and lead the US component annual audit with external auditors and corporate FP&A.
