Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Colorado seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee daily financial operations, forecast and budget, and ensure GAAP compliance. The role involves leading the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and partnering with site management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s in Accounting/Finance with 5–7 years of accounting experience including 3 years in leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Familiar with mining industry regulations and GAAP.
• Strong analytical, research and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control daily Accounting/Finance operations at the site.
• Prepare forecasts, P&L, and annual budget with variance analysis.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and site financial reporting.
• Lead accounting staff and collaborate with site management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related area
