Job summary

Blue Moon Metals is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its US operations, reporting to the Director of Finance. The role oversees full accounting cycles, site reporting, and internal controls to support IFRS-based consolidation across US sites.

The ideal candidate leads a finance team, partners with site leadership, and drives process improvements in a high-capital mining environment, while ensuring compliance with US regulations and tax requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be active CPA in good standing and eligible to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS (US GAAP is an asset).
• Experience with enterprise ERP systems, preferably SAP and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience in mining, mineral processing, manufacturing, construction, or other capital-intensive industries strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites and work remotely as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounting operations for US entities, including payroll.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly site reporting for group consolidation.
• Serve as the finance business partner to site leadership with financial analysis and decision support.
• Lead finance support for US asset acquisitions and capital projects.
• Implement internal controls and coordinate the annual US component audit.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
• Collaborate with operations to improve financial controls and performance.
• Mentor the finance team and prepare ad hoc analyses.
• Prepare reports on cost, inventory, and project accounting for mining operations.
