A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support a mining company entering a growth phase. The role is vital for rebuilding accounting functions and ensuring an efficient month-end close while establishing scalable processes for increased production. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of progressive experience in private equity environments and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Occasional travel to the mine site is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience working in a private equity–owned or PE-backed company.
• Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the month-end close process.
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Oversee close execution performed by an AP Clerk and a Staff Accountant.
• Improve close accuracy, speed, and control environment.

Skills

Strong hands-on accounting experience
