Job summary

StaffBoom is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the general ledger, close processes, reconciliations, U.S. accounts payable, audit and tax support, and a distributed accounting team. This hands-on role focuses on execution, analysis, and systems optimization.

The position may be fully remote within the U.S.; candidates near Anaheim, CA are preferred and will collaborate with teams in Pacific Time and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting annual audits and interacting with external auditors.
• Experience overseeing accounts payable workflows and processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting processes and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Lead portions of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Perform month-end analytics and provide data to FP&A.
• Oversee U.S. accounts payable operations and payment processing.
• Manage and develop 2-3 accounting staff located in the Philippines.
• Support tax compliance cycles, including K-1 preparation and state/federal filings.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for external auditors and drive audit completion.
• Participate in BC optimization, reporting improvements, and ERP workflow development.
