Job summary

Outside-i in Portland, OR seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee the general ledger and financial statements for management. You will supervise accounts payable/receivable and the accounting staff, coordinating closely with the Payroll administrator to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

The role requires ensuring GAAP compliance, supporting budgeting and audits, and preparing state/federal filings. You will manage payroll for ~200 employees and assist with program budgets and grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent education.
• Successful supervision of a diverse team.
• COVID-19 vaccination status or approved exception on file is required.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting and government contracts (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger and financial statements for management.
• Supervise accounts payable/receivable and accounting staff; coordinate with Payroll administrator.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements across ledgers and reporting.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly reconciliations; assist with audits and federal/state filings.
• Assist with budgeting, analysis, and reporting for programs and grants.
• Review payroll for ~200 employees and prepare cost allocations per budget.
