Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting, ensure GAAP compliance, and support monthly and annual reporting while mentoring a small accounting team.

This remote role allows work from approved Lumelight states and requires overseeing journal entries, reconciliations, internal controls, and collaboration with the Controller and CFO to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Records/approves accounting transactions per GAAP.
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and posts adjustments as needed.
• Serves as SME to internal/external customers on accounting questions.
• Posts and reviews journal entries.
• Updates policies and procedures related to finance/accounting.
• Manage and delegate tasks to Staff Accountant.
• Assist Controller and CFO in risk mitigation.
• Assist with annual audit, tax returns and other compliance tasks.
• Document processes and recommend improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
