Job summary

Corporate Environmental Risk Management, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to direct and organize all general accounting activities and staff, including accounts payable and receivable. You will prepare financial reports, ensure GAAP compliance, and support monthly and annual closing processes.

You will supervise two staff accountants, monitor internal controls, analyze results, and assist the CFO with audits and financial statement preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years accounting experience.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIF).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and coach two Staff Accountants for AP/AR.
• Maintain general ledger, chart of accounts, and GAAP compliance.
• Manage monthly and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processing, reports, and related activities.
• Analyze results vs budgets; prepare government reports.
• Lead AP, collections, and cash application; ensure policy compliance.
• Drive process improvements and internal controls improvements.
• Assist CFO with audits, tax filings, and schedules for external auditors.
