Job summary

Logoslabs is seeking an Accounting Manager (Contractor) based in the United States to cover a six-month leave of absence. The role reports to the Assistant Controller and involves general ledger management, close processes, R&D accruals, and internal controls within a fast-paced biotechnology environment.

You will lead month-end and quarter-end activities, oversee AP and payroll, and provide reliable financial reporting. The position offers remote flexibility within a distributed U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field; master’s preferred.
• Five+ years of accounting experience, biotechnology/life sciences background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, accrual accounting, and payroll processes.
• Experience closing monthly and quarterly books and preparing journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities and manage accrual processes.
• Prepare monthly R&D accruals with department leads and outside CROs.
• Compute quarterly stock-based compensation and warrant liabilities.
• Manage lease accounting and monthly reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and payroll processing with proper controls.
• Supervise the Senior Accountant and ensure reconciliations and entries are accurate.
• Support internal controls and financial reporting for management.
