Job summary

Elicio is seeking an Accounting Manager (Contractor) to support the close, accruals, payroll, and treasury functions. The role involves preparing journal entries, ownership of AP and payroll, and supervising a senior accountant in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with department leaders and CROs, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting. This is a 6-month contractor engagement based in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in biotech or life sciences
• Public accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day close and accrual processes including journal entries
• Own monthly R&D accruals with department leaders and CROs
• Prepare quarterly stock compensation calculations
• Prepare warrant liability calculations
• Manage leases including reconciliations and monthly journals
• Prepare internal reporting package
• Oversee senior accountant and review reconciliations/journal entries
• Ownership of AP & payroll
• Foster collaboration and cross-functional problem-solving in a high-performing team
• Handle other ad hoc projects
