Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks an Accounting Manager (Contractor) in the United States to cover a six-month leave. You will report to the Assistant Controller and lead close activities, R&D accruals, payroll, and internal controls while guiding a Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities include journal entries, GAAP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced biotech setting. Remote flexibility and broad exposure to core accounting functions are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field; master's preferred.
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience in biotech or life sciences.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of general ledger, GAAP, AP, payroll and accruals.
• Experience supporting monthly/quarterly close and journal entries.
• Familiarity with R&D accruals, stock-based compensation, warrants, and lease accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Own R&D accrual preparation with department leaders and external partners.
• Prepare quarterly stock-based compensation and warrant liability calculations.
• Manage lease accounting, reconciliations and monthly entries.
• Prepare internal financial reporting packages for management decisions.
• Oversee accounts payable and payroll; supervise Senior Accountant.
