Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an Accounting Intern to support monthly close activities and financial analysis from a remote location. The internship is 3 months, paid, with equipment provided and potential for full-time hire after completion.

The role requires basic accounting knowledge, proficiency in MS Word/Excel, and strong organizational skills. You will assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting while collaborating with the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel and accounting database system.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information.
• Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• May work additional hours and on special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements.
• Develop audit schedules and update financial information monthly.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other asset general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries for general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Maintain account balances and reconcile differences with external sources.
• Assist in developing reports such as financial analysis and depreciation.
